*** 10 Inexpensive Ways To Advertise Your Small Business *** {411}

💖Creating success in this industry doesn't have to break the bank. Use your imagination and expand on these ideas and come up with better ways on your own. These are in no particular order.

 1) Hang Signs: Place a magnetic sign on the side of your car promoting your website, or business. Just driving around gets the word out about what you are promoting.     

 2) Upgrade phone manners: No matter who answers your phone, you would like that to be cheerful, and sending out good vibes, because this is how people view you as a first impression. "Hello. This is John speaking, how may I help you?

 3) Stuff Mailings: For only pennies, make sure to send a flyer, or some type of info about what you're doing, or any info about your product in every letter, pay a bill, or ship another product. You never know who might be looking to supplement their income or even replace it.

 4) Business Cards: Make sure to use both sides of your business card. It should contain your name, contact details, and title. On the back you can also include some brief description about product or service, a mission statement, or any other valuable info that you can think of about your business.

 5) Greeting Cards: Anyone you come in contact with such as, prospects, customers, or even your MLM team, send them some type of card. Birthday, Wedding, Holiday, or any special occasion. Everyone likes to feel appreciated. (E-cards will work also)

 6) Teach Classes or Make Speeches: Anytime you can get in front of groups and tell your story, it establishes you as an expert in your field. Your local newspaper should have dates and times with upcoming events. Civic groups are always looking for speakers.

 7) Free or Inexpensive Help: Local colleges or business schools can probably help you with some cheap advertising, such as designing you a website, or promotional materials for your small business, or products. This will be very inexpensive or even give someone some class credits. 

 8) Networking For Success: Another inexpensive way to promote your MLM business is to get out of the office or house and try to find like-minded individuals that may be interested in what you're doing. Take flyers, brochures, and business cards to pass out to the public. Make sure when coming in contact with people, that you make a short, positive introduction about you, and your business, or product. Try to get a phone number, or an E-mail address so you can be able to contact them at a later date. 

 9) Apply Stickers: Be creative with your stickers that will get the message out that you want to share. I've heard of another MLM'er that plastered a sticker that said "We (heart) referrals" on everything that left her office, and her MLM business took off.

 10) Utilize Voice-Mail Messages: When you create your voice message make sure somewhere within your message to entice the caller to visit your website, blog post, or something about an upcoming promotion or event.

*** Is MLM Really A Relationship Business? *** {409}

💙This question gets asked a lot, and I'm going to attempt to give you my opinion. Is MLM really a relationship business?    

 My answer is "YES" and "NO" because relationships are the glue that keeps your team together long term. People who like and trust you, are more apt to do business with you, versus someone who is not respected or liked.    

 With that being said, even if you have a great relationship with a team member, even if it's a friend or family member, doesn't mean that they will all stay. It's just part of the business that you need to accept. Truth be told, most of your team members will ultimately opt out and quit, and that's a fact! It's not your fault, so don't blame yourself. You can't help everyone. 

 On the flip side, you will have people who kill it, and build a huge business, and really don't like you very well at all. Again, you can't please everyone, so don't let it bother you, because you can't do anything about it anyway.

 You can be the best person in the world at building relationships but be a horrible network marketer! Most people in this industry will tell you that building relationships are overrated, partly because of what I've already said. Sometimes you will spend hours trying to build a relationship, and there's a fair chance that even if that person does join your company, that they won't do anything to build their business anyway.

 When building relationships in network marketing, it's probably best to try to build that relationship after they join you, and proves that they are serious about the business, otherwise it could be time wasted. For me personally, I do a lot of prospecting (1 on 1), anyway, so I like to build rapport from the get-go, but I also have a little more time than most. 

 For the average person that has a busy schedule, it's probably best to learn how to recruit and taproot. If you're working the numbers, they will sort themselves out. Let people prove to you that they are coachable, and willing to put in the work, before you start building your relationship. 

 There are many ways to build a successful business, and you will find that every leader in the industry will have a different opinion, so depending on your daily schedule, do what works best for you. This is just my opinion, and what works best for me!

*** 27 Tips To Grow Your MLM Business *** {407}

💛Here are 27 tips that can help you grow your MLM business, and possibly help you learn from some of the mistakes that I made when I first started back in 2006. They are in no particular order.

 1) It's best to start out on the right foot, so you won't have to start over.                              

 2) Do your due diligence, and pick a good company, and stick with it for at least a couple years. If it turns out to be a dud, make sure you find another company, and get it right this time.

 3) Make sure to sponsor at least a couple new reps every month. (No excuses!)

 4) People join people, and not businesses, so work on yourself, so you are someone worth joining. (personal development, and skills)

 5) The winner is the person that makes the most exposures.

 6) Remove yourself from the equation and always use third party tools.

 7) Act like you have a million dollars in your business and only have a couple years to earn it back.

 8) Set an example for your team and inspire them by your actions. Be the type of person you want to sponsor.

 9) Success = activity + skills + time.

 10) People are the real product. We build people, who in turn builds the business.

 11) Keep your business so simple that an 8-year-old can do it. Anyone can complicate it.

 12) Follow the lead of your successful mentor and do what they suggest. (learn from their mistakes)

 13) The average person needs 7-20 follow ups before making the decision to join. The fortune is always in the follow up.

 14) Never use pressure or hype tactics. Your prospect is a prospect for life, until they buy, join, or die.

 15) Work with the willing. They must be coachable, and hungry for success. You can't make anyone successful; they have to want it.

 16) Once you sponsor someone, the best thing you can do for them, is to help them sponsor their first person. 

 17) In order to build at least a six-figure income, you only need two to five leaders within your company.

 18) Normally your best people are the ones that show up in depth. Make sure to work through the people you sponsor. Even a dud can lead you to a stud.

 19) There are only 2 activities in which you get paid, and those are, recruiting, and retailing. Everything else is considered busy work. Don't confuse busy work with income producing activities.

 20) Promote events like your success depends on it. (which it does). Make sure to attend every event that you can.

 21) Do something every day to grow your business. Treat it at least a seriously as you do your job. Starting and stopping will kill your business, so be consistent, and persistent. 

 22) Stay with one company for at least several years. Sponsor a few distributors, service a few customers, support your team, and use the products. Repeat the process over and over.

 23) Your business is the easiest if you build it quickly, and the hardest when you build it slowly.

 24) Don't promote multiple deals, or jump from company to company, because you will lose money, and momentum, along with credibility. Stay the course and only switch companies if you have no other choice. (stick it out)

 25) Do a 90-day challenge, it's the easiest way to build momentum. Momentum is hard to get and easy to lose. Double your momentum if you have to and ride it as long as possible. This is an industry of momentum.

 26) Depth is where the big money is at. When building your team, about 75% or more will come from level 5 and below. This will give you long term residual income. Always build depth. When sponsoring quickly, it will give you quick money.

 27) Realize that no one cares about your business as much as you do. You don't need an upline to be successful, instead you need a downline. Take complete responsibility of your business, and don't blame your upline for not helping like you want them to.
