*** The Smart Way to Start a Business Is to Copy What Already Works*** {213}

πŸ’™When I was still working for other people. 7-4 job, all I knew of owning a business was what I read on news sites after work. The space seemed to be reserved for people who were already wealthy: People who could easily afford the cost of starting a business from scratch. I believed that I was stuck working for other people forever, As I did not have the necessary capital. My only hope was to knuckle down, make my employer rich, and hope to retire with a pension. I would still be in the space today, If a friend did not introduce me to a better way of making money for myself.

I want to share this business knowledge with you.

--STARTING UP A BUSINESS DOES NOT HAVE TO COST A BUNCH OF MONEY:

Getting into business can be an easy ride, if we can copy what already works. There are a lot of people out there, wanting business affiliates to do their marketing for generous commissions. If I told you how to take advantage of this, would you be interested? I bet you would after I added that you only have a minimal start up cost. The cost you will save are what prevent other people from getting into business. By far the largest of these expenses are likely to be research and development, Intellectual property protection, and developing the brand. With my way, you are going to avoid this unnecessary expenditure because someone else already paid for it.

--A FRANCHISE CAN WORK, BUT IS THE EXPENSIVE OPTION:

Before I start, I want to make it very clear that I am not using a franchise. I use a business opportunity that is ready to fire up in a few hours for next to nothing. A franchise can cost a small fortune to buy because it requires a brick and mortar store front. It can be a sure-fire way to make money if it's in the right space. The downside is the fortune it costs to open. Moreover you can only sell in a small part of the market. but the gap is small until someone else opens up in competition with you. After that , who knows? There could be no gap at all. You could lose all of your money and walk away with nothing.

--DITCH THE FRANCHISE - LET'S TALK ABOUT LEVERAGED RESIDUAL INCOME:

If you are reading this, you are likely in a fixed employment, or subcontracting/freelancing for other people. Either way, you earn a set rate per month, or per hour, no matter how brilliant your contribution. Your employer leveraging their income from your efforts by selling your results for 2 or 3 times more. I would like to share the 2 most important things I learned.

When we market another persons goods or services, we save money from start-up cost by using something that already works and is already done for us. That is why we have no product development cost and can start earning commissions right away. Bets of all, we can run the business from home, and that is another cost saver.

When we sell a renewable product - for example, term insurance, roadside assistance, or legal advise just to name a few - we get a commission every time a client makes a payment. We call this residual income, because we sold a product that provides value, but the customer has to keep on renewing or repurchasing in order to continue receiving the benefit.

--THIS MEANS YOU GET PAID OVER AND OVER FOR THE WORK YOU DO ONCE:

Can you see how much better that can be than working, freelancing, or contracting? Would you like to start leveraging residual income from somebody else's idea that already works? We have some great ideas that we offer. You can run them concurrently with the other things you do, even along side your job, while you ramp up your new business. Welcome to a fantastic business model that you can franchise yourself, earning from the efforts of others. Now that's adding real leverage to your income earning potential.

***5 THINGS SELF-EMPLOYED PEOPLE WISH YOU'D STOP SAYING*** {212}

😎Being self-employed has changed vastly over the last few years, and the world of work and industry is catching with what people want with their work place fast. self-employment has changed from being a last resort to the first choice for a lot of people , but there are still some misconceptions that self-employed people would like to dispel, so before you ask the questions, I'm going to answer them for you!

1) YES, BUT IT'S NOT LIKE HAVING A REAL JOB!

A lot of people still think that a "real" job is one in an office , with a boss and a paycheck. These people don't believe that being self-employed, is the same as having a "real" job. However people who are successfully self-employed, are earning the same kind of money-often more- and putting in the same hours. The difference is, they're skipping the horrible commute and doing their job from the comforts of their own home.

2) OH, BUT DON'T YOU MISS BEING AROUND OTHER PEOPLE?

one of the things about being self-employed that concerns people is that their social lives will suffer from not being around other people. But if you really think about it, that makes no sense, If you have family or friends. You must make time to see them outside of work hours and you're not going to suddenly stop doing that by working for yourself. Besides, did you know that being around co-workers can be super-distracting and make you less productive and efficient? Imagine if you had no co-workers distracting you! How much faster would you do your work? You could not only get more done, but you could finish sooner, and the upside for finishing your work when you're self-employed is, You don't have to hang around the office being bored! You have time to do what you want . Plus, you don't have to deal with office politics...

3) SO YOU'RE A STAY-AT-HOME MOM/DAD?

Many people opt to be a work-from-home parent when they have children. That however, isn't quite the same thing as a stay-at-home parent. (SAH) parents focus solely on child rearing and often home-school their kids. Their daily routing involves a great deal of responsibility for cleaning, feeding kids, educating playtime and so on. (WFH) parents, on the other hand, usually send their kids to daycare or preschool, and why they take care of some of the household tasks, and are available to take children to their after school activities, the Doctor, and so on. They still do a full days of business-based work.

4) IT MUST BE GREAT TO BE ABLE TO TAKE TIME OFF WHENEVER YOU WANT!

Planning vacation time in a corporate environment can be tricky and involve negotiation , but that doesn't mean that people who are self-employed can take a leave of absence whenever they want. The still need to workout when will be the best time to go on vacation , and they still need to plan their budgets. For example, If you work for yourself and your busiest time is in July and August, You'd be foolish to go away for a few weeks during this time. Yes, you do have a lot more freedom, and don't have to take your co-workers into consideration, but it still takes planning!

5) I'D LOVE TO BE ABLE TO GET UP WHENEVER I WANT...

This is my personal "Favorite". I often get calls from family members at 9 or 10 am, and they always ask "are you sleeping?" My answer is always the same: "No I've been working for several hours now." A lot of people equate being self-employed with being lazy. When the opposite is actually true. Most of the self-employed people I know are perfectly happy to get out of bed at a reasonable hour, Put in their work and try to maintain a workable routine. The big difference is, It's a routine that works for you. You decide whether you work best in the mornings or evenings, How many hours per day you're willing to put in , and how much free time that you want. If you're happy to pull 12-hour days, and earn 6 figures, That's your choice. If you decide 3-hours a day works for you , and you're happy earning in line with that, then that's your choice too.

The beauty of being self-employed, is that you have control over your working conditions. No 2 self-employed people do things exactly the same way, and that's OK. Working for yourself means exactly that. You decide what you want and need out of your work and personal life, and you get to make that work.

***COMMON FEARS YOU NEED TO OVERCOME TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS*** {211}

πŸ’₯‘Entrepreneurship’- exciting as it may seem, still, not all people are prepared to actually take the plunge. Admit it, you have the drive, but you are scared to bones to enter the world which may involve financial stress, business uncertainties, or just plain failure.
Well, here’s the thing- you’re not alone. As a matter of fact, successful entrepreneurs all around the world have faced some sort of fear in the preliminary stage, starting from speaking in public to keeping up with the ever growing technology.  Entrepreneurship can be a double-crossing ground where you may have to face great risks, from the inception of your business, through the growth stage, and even as you are on a solid ground.  But to stay prepared for those risks and overcome all the fear is the trait of a true entrepreneur. Here, we’ve listed the top five fears that you, for sure, have to overcome to start your own business and prosper in it.

Fear of economic uncertainty:

Back in the days, the economy may not have been a forefront concern, but today, the declining puts all the businesses, small or big, young or old in distress. In “American Express OPEN Economic Pulse” report of 2009, 66% of small business owners have been reported to be stressed about the state of the economy and 44% fear that the economy will go mildly or much worse in the near future. However, many remarkable small businesses like Hewlett-Packard and The Boston Beer Company have launched, innovated and grown during the recession period. "In 1948, there were 1,000 breweries," he says. "But when I started, 97 percent had closed,” says Koch of The Boston Beer Company. In spite of this, he has come out not only strong but steady.

Fear of not being good enough:

Many people stop themselves from taking actions because they doubt themselves and think they are not good enough yet. And some want to begin with a perfect plan with perfect tools, perfect people and perfect everything. But, in reality, it doesn’t work that way. Most people stuck in such mindset end up doing nothing, so watch out. An ideal startup strives for improvement rather than perfection. It’s not about making all the right decision and getting everything right, but improving and learning from the mistakes that have been made.

Fear of Failure:

Undoubtedly, one of the biggest fears of entrepreneurs, in fact, every human being is failure. In the business sector, it is quite reasonable because around 95% of all business fail within the first few years.  When starting a business with such odds, it is normal to be a little overwhelmed. But you cannot let the fear of failure consume you. Do not take failure as the end of the road, but just a temporary stopping point in a long path of final destination. Besides, failures are your learning opportunities.  Failures that are experienced yields a lesson that can be incorporated into your business or your life.

Fear of being Rejected:

While planning starting a business, many people fear of being rejected by acquaintances and even family members since most of us are accustomed to following the conventional method of going to school and then getting an employment. They fear that what they are building will be disregarded. But, you need to have the courage to enlighten them about the ideas and opportunities businesses can give compared to the corporate world. More than that, you need to have the courage to pursue your dreams.
Entrepreneurship isn’t for the fearless but the individuals who have the will and strength to learn from those fears and work past them. Embrace your fears and use them a motivation to learn more about your business.
Many of us might think that you need an amazing idea to get started in business, but that's not the case. There are many ways to get started building a business to last a lifetime with out the risk of a start-up.

For example there is the franchise business model, which is simple taking an existing proven business model and using that model to grow your own business. Typically the franchise model however has some large startup costs which eliminates the majority of entrepreneurs.

The other option is to find a business proven model that has low startup costs. That's what we are all about, empowering the average entrepreneur to take action and create a business with a solid foundation and residual income.

***WHY WORKING FOR YOURSELF IS THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE*** {210}

πŸ’₯Have you ever pictured the opportunity to shape your destiny?

A life where you call the shots and live on your own terms? Are you tired of renting your life out to others? Does your boring job drain the life out of you? Well you are not alone. Many people have the same dream, but just don't have the courage to go out and grab life by the reigns. Sure Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. It requires discipline, motivation, and investment. There will be stressors and setbacks. Yet, the sense of accomplishment you receive is more than worth all of the effort you put into it. Stop working on someone else's dream, and pursue your own. Here are a few more reasons why you should consider being your own boss.

WORK FROM ANYWHERE:

There are days when you just don't feel like working in the same, cramped cubicle passing by similar faces you see everyday. Why not work from anywhere? As an entrepreneur, you get to decide if you want to work at your local coffee shop with any pastry you prefer--so much better than the company cafeteria or vending machine.   The next week, you might be sitting on a beach in Costa Rica with your laptop or skiing and working out of Whistler, B.C. You can essentially work from any location with Internet access. Isn't that a much more exciting prospect?

CREATE THE SALARY OF YOUR DREAMS:

The only limit to your success are the ones you put on yourself. At a 9-to-5 job, your employer decides how much you make and whether or not you get a raise. You might go five years or more without getting any wage increases. Sure, you might make a comfortable living on a predictable salary--but, in today's world, you never know if your company may go under or you get laid off. You might work over 80 hours a week and save every penny.   Yet, you might also be divorced with kids and a mortgage. As an entrepreneur, you can set your salary. You might decide, "I need $4,000 a month to be happy," or you can say "$5,000,000 is all I need to retire." Don't let other people decide your numbers.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO CONFORM:

You know what it's like going to the office day in and day out. You must get your hair cut a certain way, you must have a specific look, you need to purchase work clothes, you have to look happy even when you're not, you need to speak a certain way. It's enough to make you mad. When you work for yourself, you can have a mohawk and no one would care.   The most beautiful part of it all is you can be yourself. You no longer have to wear slacks or khakis everyday, in fact, you can work in your skivvies surrounded by your cats if you like. If you enjoy exercise, you can do so when you feel like it. Try asking your boss for an hour off at 10 a.m. to work out and see how well that boils over.

YOU CAN LIVE OUTSIDE THE BOX:

You don't have the restraints of standard work hours. If you want to work at night and play during the day, you can! You don't have to worry about your reputation at the office. Want to attend pool parties all summer? Do it! Want to visit Trekkie conventions throughout the nation? Nothing is stopping you. No need to worry about asking for time off. You set your hours and your schedule.  Are you convinced that you should set your own hours and salary doing what you love? Are you ready to break off that employer ball and chain?

*** MARKETING 101 *** {209}

πŸ’₯Here's an inspiring story for your success in network marketing.

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers -- several distributors who had failed and showed their garages full of products they couldn't sell.

During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What's your secret?"

He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No' and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire."

***6 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD START A BUSINESS*** {208}

πŸ’£Are you happy with your life?
Do you dread waking up early every morning to work for someone else?
Are you tired of helping someone else achieve their dreams, while putting yours by the wayside?
It is critical to find out whether or not your should pursue self-employment. Are you worried that you're just not cut out to work for yourself? Have you ever made the serious commitment to do so? There isn't any question that self-employment can be a huge risk. There is no guarantee you will be successful. In fact, you might even end up working harder for less money. That can happen. Yet, how else can you be your own boss? What other avenue allows you to pursue your dreams and passions? How else can you decide when and where you work? Sure, self-employment requires discipline, persistence and motivation. You can't go in half-heartedly. You're either in or you're out. Yet, once you're in--you will soon start to realize these six impressive benefits.

Save on the costs of commuting:

Remember when you got your first decent paying job? You were excited to finally make enough money for all of your bills and extra for savings and entertainment. You probably put on your rose-colored glasses and imagined yourself quickly climbing up the corporate ladder with your intelligence, people skills and sparkling smile. Then, reality set in and you found out that there was more than meets the eye. One price of working for someone else is paying for transportation. If you have a car, you need to make sure it is always up and running. This means maintenance costs, registration costs, monthly insurance costs, a monthly payment and gas. Plus, depending on the length of your commute, the drive adds to the wear and tear of your car. Don't get me started on morning traffic. What if you have a meeting offsite? Then you need to consider parking fees. If you're even a few minutes late, you have to explain yourself to all of the eyes on your back. Is it really worth it? Do you really want to spend a day eating, in the car, rushing to work?

Wear whatever you want:

Here's another thing about working for someone else--you need to subscribe to their dress code. What does that mean? Well, for starters you'll need several wardrobes--one for work, one for your days off, one for work-related parties and perhaps your gym clothes. That is a lot of hard-earned income spent on clothing. On top of that, you can't wear the same thing everyday. Sure, you can buy items that mix and match, but that only goes so far. Not to mention, you don't want be caught wearing the same attire as someone else. If you're speaking or hosting a meeting, you might have to spend more money on some tailored pieces with nicer fabrics. Think of all the money you save clothing shopping when you work for yourself. If you don't have to meet anyone in person, you can wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. You no longer have the worry of setting aside a budget for work clothes.

Unlimited vacation time:

If you have your business up and running, with a steady cash flow, who can tell you how much or how little vacation you can take? Forget about paid holidays, paid sick leave and two weeks vacation. In today's hyper competitive work place, everyone is afraid to take vacations anyway because they're afraid they'll lose their jobs. Why put that much stress on yourself? If you've worked hard and have the funds, why not have a three week vacation? Since you work for yourself, you can work a little here and there if you like anyway. How many corporate jobs let you take three weeks or more in a year?

Live wherever you want:

Have you ever dreamt of moving? We all have fantasies of living elsewhere. For many of us, we don't think we can because, well, our job is here. How can we move unless we first find a job? If you were self-employed, there are no rules about where you can and can't work. Love Paris? You can move there! Want to explore Bangkok? Why not? You have the freedom to work from anywhere. Just be prepared for a few jealous former co-workers.

Save on expensive lunch outings:

I don't know about you, but when I worked in the corporate world, I spent way too much money on lunch and happy hour. We felt it was necessary to network, and perhaps, make it seem like we were getting those amazing bonus checks. Even if we were, all of that lunching adds up. Do you really need to have sushi everyday? Plus, isn't a home cooked, healthy meal often better for you? When you work for yourself, you cut down the costs of spending money eating out. You have the flexibility to prepare your meals while on your break. And, that is so much better than using the microwave in the company break room. What if you liked fish? Can you really bring fish to work without your boss and co-workers giving you the stink eye? Plus, you can eat whenever you feel hungry. Is your stomach growling at 3 p.m.? No problem! You can eat when you feel like it, not when your boss says you can. Plus, if you're still building up your money flow, you'll be thankful you're no longer as tempted to eat out everyday.

Earn as much as you want:

Who doesn't like the feeling of having ultimate control over your income? Instead of your boss telling you how much you can make, set your own ceiling. The sky really is the limit. Your profit levels are a direct result of your output in drumming up new business. Sure, it's not always easy. At times, you might even want to throw in the towel. Yet, when the money starts flowing in, the last thing you want is someone controlling how much of it you can earn. I remember one colleague who sold $20 million worth of servers and software to a large client. He was a sales executive. He also spent a year putting that deal together. How much commission did he make? $100,000. That is a lot of money, but it's a drop in the bucket compared to $20 million. What did he end up doing? He started his own business, and now makes multi-millions. He knew he had the drive to make as much as he could. No employer would ever set a limit on his commission again. Isn't that what you want? Building something out of nothing is one of the most satisfying experiences you may ever have. There is something to be said for enjoying the fruits directly tied to your labor. It can be scary to take the fall for any failures you make. Yet, all you have to do is dust yourself off and get back up again. No one can fire you. Moreover, it's much better to face the challenges of something you love doing over something you are required to do.

  1. "Networking is marketing. Marketing yourself, your uniqueness, what you stand for." -- Christine Comaford-Lynch
