Tip of the Week:

My tip of the week this week is to evaluate how you spend your time in your business.  

Most network marketers building their business are doing it on a part-time basis. 

That's great. 

They have a job, family and other commitments. 

That's why you have to learn how to work smart. 

It's not how much time you work in your business that matters. 

It's what activities you do during that time that matters most. 

For the next week, track your time.  

Don't change anything you currently do.  

Just write down how much time you spend working your business and what activities you are focusing on. 

You will more than likely discover that you aren't doing ANY real work at all. 

If you're like most people, you will be busy with busy work, but not doing any productive work. 

Once you track yourself for the next week and get a better understanding of how you are spending your time, I suggest you come up with a work schedule. 

Each Sunday night, spend 30 minutes and plan out your week.  

What days will you build the business?

What times during the day?

What activities will you do during that time?

What is your plan to make it happen?

Having a schedule will really help. 

If you leave it up to chance, you will more than likely not be very effective. 

And remember, it's only the money producing activities that count: prospecting, inviting, showing the plan, following up, getting customers and training your team

It's All About Timing

It's all about location.  In network marketing, it's all about timing. Quite often, your best prospects will take you YEARS to recruit.  Just because someone tells you NO today does not mean they will not be a YES a few months, or a few years down the road.  Be nice and follow-up frequently. People don't join when you want them to. They join when they are ready.

 How to Teach People Stuff

Network marketing is a TEACHING business. There are many ways to teach people how to do things, but the best way is through your own personal example.  Set the pace and do the things you want your team members to do.  That is the best thing you can do.  Inspire them by your actions.  Be the team Captain, not the boss.

 When Should You Join a MLM Company?

As I see it, the best time to join a MLM Company is after it has been around a few years, to work out all the kinks, and before everyone has heard of the company's name. Normally, that's between year 3 and year 7 for most companies.  Once everyone has heard about your company, they develop pre-conceived notions, and it's harder to recruit people.  Of course, you could succeed or fail in any company.
