in 2020 there are many more channels to share your story and offer with your 'E-mail list'. Don't get me wrong though. your E-mail lists are probably still going to be number one for generating sales-and are not to be ignored by any means-but if you want to get peoples attention and really create a 'tribe', then you need to use multiple channels along with E-mail. People want and are finding their place to belong to Facebook groups-Youtube channels. If you want to stand out in your niche as an expert-leader, growing your 'tribe' for your brand on multiple platforms is a must.
2) FEED DAILY CONTENT TO YOUR TRIBE:
People are addicted to Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, E-mail, Pinterest, Etc... They check it daily, and looking for your content, and other favorites. If you aren't posting something daily or there about, you could be forgotten as soon as your competitors release their daily content.
3) CREATE MORE THAN YOU CONSUME:
It's to east to spend (and waste) time looking at Instagram photos and memes on Facebook. I am totally guilty of that, and I know most of you are as well. We have to be careful and tell ourselves to stop, and get back to work, because soaking up to much content, even if it's relative to your business, will not take you where you want to go. YOU have to be the one who's creating the content. One of my goals for 2020 is to create more than I consume. I am for an 80/20 ratio, and focus more on creating quality content for my lists. (E-mail, blogs, videos), and paid products (courses, software, services).
4) GET YOUR PRODUCTS OUT THERE:
Don't wait for your product to be perfect, or for your product or sales funnel to be complete. Start with a bare minimum and selling as soon as you can. Work on adding the next product to your funnel ASAP and get in there as soon as possible. I'm sure you you've heard the saying 'ready, aim, fire!' I follow this ideally with my business. -Most things in life too mainly because I could be better at planning-but it works out to be good for me, and I highly suggest you do too! Perfectionalism will kill your business before you even get started!
5) WATCH OUT FOR LIARS, FAKES, AND SCAMMERS:
There will always be fakers, liars, and scammers online. and the worst part is, that it's hard to tell who's BS'ing you, and who is telling the truth. My advice is, if there's anyone who seems a little suspicious and what they say sounds 'too good to be true', watch them very carefully for a period of time before you make a decision to invest with them. You can always tell them by their fruit. If they are walking the walk, and not just talking the talk, then you can assume they are legit. Do your due diligence, and check them out!
6) LEARN A NEW SKILL (OR REALLY PUSH AN EXISTING ONE):
The online business world is requiring more and more specialists in certain areas. I highly suggest you expand your skill-set, or really polish one specific skill that you already have. Your skills are your biggest asset. Not your E-mail list, not your products, not your network. If you have the skills to create products, or write sales letters, or delegate tasks and manage projects, then no matter what happens. If your site goes down, or you lose your lists, you'll have the necessary skills to bounce back!
7) REINVEST YOUR PROFITS BACK INTO ADVERTISING FOR YOUR BUSINESS:
This is another thorn in my side! I'm not really good at reinvesting back into my business, because I know that unfortunately about 80% of your advertising budget goes to waste, and that's just how it is. I've been in this industry for a very long time, and am Grandfathered into several advertising sites, that I don't ever have to pay again, and I get lifetime access. You can do Solo ADS, Banner ADS, or Pay Per Click. (Unless you're a seasoned Marketer, leave this one alone, because you can lose a lot of money). If you want to run an AD campaign, you can start with $50-$100 and that will get you a little bit of traffic to your websites.
8) SPY ON YOUR COMPETITORS, AND SEE COPY WHAT'S WORKING:
It's pretty easy to spot the people who are killing it online. The one's who are 'walking the walk'. If that's the kind of success you want, then you'll need to spy on them, and reverse exactly what they ate doing. Of course you can't copy their websites, and content. You should flip it and put your own twist and personality to it. The problem is, that you can only see so much from the surface. Most top earners have many underlying systems that allows them to earn that much. They have staff, outsources teams, systems in place that does a lot of the work in the background. If there is a chance to join a mastermind group or coaching program, then I highly recommend it. No matter where you are, There is always much more than you can learn!
If you can pull off these 8 things in 2020, I'm sure your business will take off in 2021!
