*** Marketing Tools Needed To Succeed In Your Small Business *** {346}

πŸ’₯I'd like to take a few minutes and share some basic tools every network marketer should have in their arsenal.  These business tools are listed in no particular order. They aren't a must, but highly recommended. Most won't cost anything.

Cell Phone: Just about everyone has one already, but if you don't, consider getting one. I use mine a lot for Facebook messenger. (Video Chats)   

Mentor: One of your most valuable business tools will be your own personal mentor.  It can be someone in your upline, crossline, or even someone in a different company. For what it's worth. I actually send info to people in other companies and do this because if they decide to leave their company, and many do, in most cases they will join me because they see the value in what I send.

Day Planner: I love my day planner.  I have one that lets me break down my daily activities, which we have in our back-office area, but you can buy one at Walmart for around $10 or so. this will allow you to stay on track. we all have busy lives, and it's very easy to get sidetracked. (Highly Recommended)

Business Cards: You should have a PROFESSIONAL looking business card, not something you do yourself.  Have it on heavy card stock, include a picture, and have all your contact information.  Rather than saying the name of your company on it, keep it generic. You can actually create your own for very cheap @ vistaprint.com (Sometimes you can get a deal. 250 cards for around $10)

Capture Page & Auto-Responder: Even if you are building your business face to face, you still want a capture page and auto-responder.  Think of this as your contact manager.  You want a capture page so you can generate leads, and you want an autoresponder so you can automate your follow-up process and stay in touch with people until they are ready to buy. Most companies will have multiple capture pages for you to promote. DigiSoft Payline has 5. If you should purchase an Autoresponder, you're going to pay around $50 a month, but it well worth it. About the only way you will pay less, or in this case, get more for less is to join a Network Marketing business that offers strictly tools in which case, you will still pay around $50 monthly, but you will get much more tools on top of the Autoresponder.

Drop Cards: This is a simple, inexpensive way to get more leads.  It's nothing more than a marketing message, with a few bullet points, and a call to action on card stock slightly bigger than a business card and smaller than a postcard. Again, you can use vistaprint.com . They are always having SPECIALS.

Online Platform: You need an online platform.  It could be a blog, YouTube channel, podcast channel or Facebook group. This is where you will build your audience and following, so you can stay in touch with them. As you can see, I enjoy blogging and can teach you some simple steps in doing so.

Customized Stationary: vistaprint.com has some custom stationary made with your name, photo, and contact information.  Use this for all you thank you cards.  It gives you a professional look.  Keep it generic and don't mention the name of your company.

Personal Library: Start building your own library with books and audio programs that teach you knew skills.  Make it a point to read every day.  Read books that teach you knew skills and uplift you and encourage you. I actually watch some YouTube videos. You can never learn enough. Takes just a few minutes out of your busy to checkout an educational video.

Samples: Depending on what type of product or service your company offers, you want some samples on hand, so when you talk with interested prospects you have something to give them. With my company, we have a plethora of Downloadable Software Products, and most of them will help you build any small business. I have specific samples that I send out to my prospects. Everyone loves FREEBIES,

Elevator Speech: You definitely want your own elevator speech, which is nothing more than two or three concise statements about what you do, or your personal story.  This is what you will share with people when they ask you what you do. As I said, definitely keep it short!

1) Always ask for the sale at the end of every conversation.

2) Use your upline mentor to close your prospects for you, via a three-way call.

5) Ask "Would you rather pay wholesale or retail for the products?"

πŸ’₯If you want maximum results with your marketing, the best way to stretch your marketing dollars are with “split testing.”

The main reason people do marketing online is to get more website visitors, because it’s usually the best way to increase your sales.      

But email marketing is just like any other sales—it’s a numbers game. And for every 100 visitors you get to your sales page, only about three to seven people will actually buy something…

In other words, roughly about 95% of your marketing dollars are probably being wasted. That’s why you should try split testing, because it gives you a way to test your messages against each other, pick the best, and reap the rewards.

The ultimate goal is to convert more of your visitors into customers. So, with that in mind, let me explain the top three ways to split test with your online marketing…

1.) Test Your Headlines

*** Network Marketing Scripts *** {343}

πŸ’™In this post I'm going to give you exact scripts you can use when prospecting others for your Network Marketing Business. It doesn't matter if this is your cold market or not. You always want to give people a way out when Prospecting, so they don't feel pressured. That is the quickest way to lose your prospect.          

Always make it into a question, and never give your business link, or much info about the business on the first initial contact. If they come back at you with, yes, I'm interested, what have you got? Then you can give them the link to your website, or a video. 


For me, I send them the link to my How it works movie, and then if they ask for more info, I send them a link to one of my blog posts, that I created with everything about my opportunity. In my post, I tell them exactly how I can help them achieve success!


This is very important because most opportunity seekers have never involved themselves in Network Marketing before and are more interested in how you can help them versus what kind of business you're involved with, or about the products! Especially when dealing with your cold market, you have to build a rapport.


When they get to know or trust you, you are more apt to get them to join or buy from you. It is said that it takes anywhere from 7-20 exposures before the average opportunity seeker will make a decision one way or the other. Again, this just an average so doesn't take this as gospel. One of my favorite prospecting strategies is finding opportunity seekers on Facebook, and then contacting them on Messenger, and I have my own script that I use to break the Ice and then go from there.

*** What It Takes To Be Successful In Network Marketing *** {342}

πŸ˜€I thought today's post would be about what it takes in order to be successful in Network Marketing. I get asked this question a lot and needs to be addressed. Unfortunately it is said that approximately 98.2% of all Network Marketers are failing in their Network Marketing companies for a number of reasons, and I would like to share some of them with you. I first want to tell you that's it's not totally your fault that you are failing. I don't know anyone who started in this industry and achieved success over night. It takes a lot of time and effort on your part. If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it and achieving success! Network Marketing isn't for everyone, but there's enough people in the world that are willing to learn, you just have to find those individuals. When I started in this industry back in 2006, it was said that you needed hundreds, if not thousands in your Downline in order to build a profitable online business, and now because of the new structures of a lot of company's compensation plans, it only takes just a handful of likeminded individuals because now it's all about Leverage. Thankfully I'm with just a company. (The Prosperity Marketing System) I'm going to list just a few reasons why people fail in no particular order.

1)  They don't do their due diligence when choosing a company: Before joining any online opportunity, you need to research that company extensively. You can first go to google.com and type in any company, and read the different articles posted, good and bad, but make sure not make snap Judgements on a couple of articles. Also a little tip. Almost every opportunity will have a few negative responses. Typically you will find that a lot of the individuals making the negative posts are all with another company, and will in most cases give bad reviews. This isn't always the case, and I want to be perfectly clear that I would say about 90% of the opportunities you see are complete "GARBAGE!" I don't like to put other opportunities down, but I hate to see people taken advantage of...I've been there myself and it's no fun! Also another tip is that some of these individuals doing the reviews, are doing them while the company is still in pre-launch, and don't really have a good understanding of the business, Or how it works. Another thing you can do is to go to the company website, and contact the Admin. If it's legit, He/She won't mind answering the tough questions. When all said and done, it will be up to you to make the tough decision weather to join or not. If you have a company that you want info about, contact me, and I will review it and give you my honest opinion. I've done this for others many times over the years! I don't like to see anyone get taken advantage of, because I know what it feels like...

2) Lack of Training: This is a huge reason why the failure rate is so high. When people are wooing you, trying to get you to join them in their company/business, they will tell you it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, and how they make millions of dollars with little to know effort, and that you can do the same, and that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm sure you've heard that a hundred times. You End up joining because you're too trusting because you want that to be the truth, and when it's time to get started, your sponsor/upline goes into the witness protection program, and you never hear from him/her again, making your job even harder, because you're a "NEWBIE" trying to figure things out! Sound Familiar? If you should join an MLM opportunity, in most cases this will happen, so I'm warning you to expect it...     

3) You treat your business like a hobby: Once you decide to join a company, you have to treat it like a "BUSINESS" and not a hobby or you will never be successful. I realize that we all have  very busy lives, but I see this all time. I get people to join me, and I do everything and then some to make they are successful, and when talking to them, I hear them say. Well I think I will work my business for a little bit today, and them maybe again in a couple days, and that will NOT WORK! I always let it be know that you have to be Coachable, Have internet access, or at least a smart phone, and be able to devote at least an hour a day to your business, at the bear minimum. This may not be a brick and mortar business, but it's the same concept. Do you think Places like Mcdonald's would be successful if they had the attitude to say, well, let's open today for a couple of hours, and then maybe we can open again next week for a couple hours? With that mind set, they wouldn't last long at all and would ultimately have to close down, so please take you business as such, and you will have a much better chance of success!

4) I worked my business for 30-90 days and didn't make any money: This is very typical of most people and I understand the concerns because most opportunities have monthly fee's attached and most people will quit in a very short time because they are tired of forking out money every month, and not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. You're going to hate hearing this, but I don't care what opportunity you're involved with, IT WILL TAKE TIME AND EFFORT TO BUILD! I generally tell people that if you're all in with your opportunities, you will need to devote no less than 6 months to see if it will be a good fit you. I'm not saying that you can't make money along the way, but you will not be financially free within that time frame. I know 6 and 7 figure earners in this industry that's taken them over a decade to achieve those numbers. There is "NO TIME FRAME FOR SUCCESS!" If they would've quit, they wouldn't be where they are today. This doesn't have to be difficult. What I mean by that is that yes it's going to take time and effort on your part, but the structure of most "LEGIT" opportunities, has simplified the way the business works, basically saying that a child can follow the simple steps in most cases,,,

5) I'm working multiple opportunities:  Now I have mixed feeling about this, where as most of your top earners don't like doing multiple opportunities and I will explain why. Their take is that most people can't focus on 1 opportunity and want to get involved in more than 1, and although I do agree with that, I can also see the benefit of running more than 1 opportunity, because their is a saying that says that you shouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket, which means that by having more than 1 opportunity, you give your prospective buyers more than 1 opportunity to join, which in turn can make you more successful. Top earners hate this because they say that people can focus on 1 opportunity, much less 2, and I totally understand that. The thought process from most individuals wanting to work more than 1 is because they think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, which I know you've all heard that before. Network Marketers in most cases aren't wanting to put in the work, but want instant success and think by having multiple opportunities, that will happen, and that is absolutely false! I've had really good people join me over the years, and work it for about a month, and then quit and join another opportunity. The problem by doing this, is that you're starting all over from the beginning, and also you still have to put in the same amount of work. I think the thought process with most people is that, I did everything I could, but will join something else, but expect different results, and this is a recipe for disaster. Once you join a company, stay with it, and work it for at least 6 months like I said earlier before making an educated decision. "THEIR IS NO SHORT CUT FOR SUCCESS!" However, by joining me, and make your job much easier, and your learning curve won't be near as long with my help.

1) Stuff mailings: Never mail a letter, send an invoice, pay a bill or ship a product without including a flyer, business card, or some information about your internet marketing business or product. It's a great way to let everyone that you're in contact with know who you are, and what you're doing, it only costs a few cents to do. (I like to post one of my business flyers on cork/bulletin boards all over my community, and places I go. I will also pass out business cards to other business owners, and employees when I'm out in the public, and you can do the same. Word of mouth is best, and least expensive way to promote anything. Give it a try, but be consistent...

2) Maximize voice-mail messages: If you only include instructions on how to leave a message on your voice-mail, you're wasting valuable time.  Instead, use some type of time to prompt callers to visit your business opportunity website, or even tell them about upcoming promotions. (Always keep in contact)

3) Upgrade phone manners: Whoever answers your phone is the "vice-president of first impressions". Just make sure that they are cheerful, helpful, and sending out good vibrations to callers. "G' day. This is John speaking. How may I help you? (When I address people, I always tell them to have a great day, and God Bless! 

4) Apply stickers: FYI; stickers are not just for kids. Be creative and create stickers that will get the message out that you want to share. (Some business owners that I know have plastered stickers saying "We (heart) referrals", and their business took off.

5) Send greeting cards: Let your team, customers, and prospects all know that you care, by sending them greeting cards,or ecards on their birthdays, holidays, and special occasions. Everyone loves getting a note of appreciation or a congratulation's pat on the back. It just brightens up your day. (Always try thinking outside the box) 

6) Network for csuccess: Getting out of the house or office to meet like-minded individuals is an enjoyable, inexpensive way to promiote your business/products. Always have flyers, business cards, or brochures on hand so you can share with new contacts, or friends. Be sure to develop a short positive introduction about yourself, and your business opportunity. Don't get discouraged when you hear "NO" because this is a numbers game, and you will have to sort and sift through a lot of people before you find a "YES." Thankfully you don't need thousands, or even hundreds of people to build it big. You're looking to find just a few like-minded indivials (2-5)

7) Get the most out of business cards: A business card can contain more than just a name, title, and contact details. Use both sides of the card and include a description of your products and services, a mission statement, or some other valuable information about your business. You can leave them anywhere such as Restaurants, grocery store shelves, coat pockets in clothing stores, etc...

8) Hang signs: Place a magnetic sign promoting your business or website on the side of your car. It's an easy way to publicize your business every time you leave your home because others will take notice when you're driving and will pique interest. (You can also place a sign out in your yard or get permission to post them elsewhere.)

9) Make speeches or teach classes: Take advantage of every opportunity you can to get up and stand in front of groups of people and tell your story. It will establish you as an expert in your field. You can find opportunities in your local papers event calendrer, or at your local public library. Social business and civic groups are always looking for speakers. This will also help you become a better speaker. And the practice will also help you learn what works and what doesn't when communicate with others.

10) Get FREE or inexpensive help: Do you need help designing a website or some other sales promotional material for your business opportunity, or product? See if your local college or business school has a marketing or advertising club that can help in exchange for the experience or maybe even course credit. It's an excellent way to get either FREE or very low-cost help. (For more ideas, contact your upline/sponsor, or you can use Google)

πŸ™Creating MLM/Affiliate Marketing success doesn't need to break the bank. Use your imagination to expand on these ideas and come up with better ones of your own. By using these methods, you can keep your marketing costs to a minimum.
