How smart people make their money is actually very cool. Let's talk about Mark Zukerberg. He worked hard coding Facebook for a few years. He could easily sell two or three flat packs a day, while leveraging the efforts of their customers. In other words, he could create the template once and sell it over and over. As his fame spread, he could appoint agents to handle his orders and gain even more leverage.

This is where you and I enter the frame. We could become my friend's agents and make 10% of every sale we introduce. that way, we would have my friend working for us, although he probably wouldn't see it that way. Words change the significance, attitude and impulse of your audience to act. As they say, words are important. Words have meaning, and you’ll want to use them very carefully as you form your marketing messages.     


There are roughly ten emotions that you want to trigger in your marketing messages. You don’t have to trigger them all in each message but shoot for two or three and you’ll have a winning marketing message. Let’s go over the ten different emotions you can work on triggering in your audience, and how to go about it.
1.) Community People love the feeling of belonging to a tribe. We tend to flock together with those who are like us, and we like feeling included in a community. If you can make your audience, feel as if they’re part of something bigger than themselves by working with you or buying your products, you’ll create a customer for life.
2.) Competition Everyone has a bit of a competitive streak; you can trigger your audience’s competitive side by making them feel as if they might miss out. If you’re only accepting five new customers for a particular offering, and you have a list of 500, it’s more than likely you’ll fill your roster within minutes of making the offer.
3.) Fear Making your audience believe and realize that if they don’t act now, they’ll miss out on the offer, or that they can’t live without your offer, will make your audience fearful that they’ll be less if they don’t have it.
4.) Indulgence Not only do consumers want to feel indulged, but they also want to be spoiled right now. People love instant gratification and if they know that help is on the way right now, and it’s free, they’re going to trade their email address for your free offer straight away.
5.) Guilt In the realm of charities and not for profits, eliciting guilt is not hard to do. You can use guilt in your marketing efforts if you can come up with a slant. For example, if you are selling a work-from-home business idea, you could appeal to the guilt of mothers and fathers who must leave the home to work.
6.) First Adoption People like to be the ones who lead the way in choosing new products, technology, and services. Make the audience feel special and smart about their choice to buy your products or use your services.
7.) Popularity People want to be like their heroes and if you can offer them a way to do that, you have succeeded in making them feel like a trendsetter who is ahead of their peers and one step above others.
8.) Time  Often times what you’re really selling is time. If you are more explicit in the language you use regarding time (such as by using words like “now”), you can evoke feelings that make the audience feel as if the time to buy what you’re offering is now.
9.) Trust Using words (and meaning them) like “guaranteed”, “full refund” and so forth will help your audience trust you more. When it comes to marketing, trust is possibly the most powerful way to get more business. People don’t want to open their wallet if they don’t trust you. Prove them right when they buy from you.
10.) Value If you can prove your value and that you’ll save them time, or money, or something else, your audience will want to give you a try. This is your chance to under promise and over deliver.

3) Not every good leader starts out fast in the business.  Just because someone isn't doing a lot doesn't mean they won't eventually. Your job is to get them in, keep them in and move them along.  Never pressure people to do more than they are ready to do. 

4) The key to success is to consistently sponsor 2-4 new distributors EVERY SINGLE MONTH, over a period of a few years. 

5) Most of your income will come from just 1-3 people, even if you've sponsored hundreds of people. 

6) Your key is to sell the appointment and let the appointment sell the presentation and opportunity. The less you say on the initial contact the better. Do not puke your opportunity over your prospects. Your goal is to say enough to sell the appointment. That's it.

7) Not everyone likes network marketing, but everyone likes to buy stuff.  That's one good reason to lead with the products.

8) Always maintain 2-10 retail customers every single month and teach your team to do the same thing. 

9) If you are working the business part-time, you should be making minimum 2-10 contacts per day, 5 days per week.  If you are doing the business full-time, you should aim for 30 to 50 contacts per day, 5 days per week.  Part-time or full-time is not dictated by how many hours you work your business, but instead by the number of new prospects you contact daily. 

10) You must have confidence and posture when talking to people.  No one wants to do business with someone who is needy or desperate.  This is why personal development is so important.

9) Send two handwritten notes every single day – Add the personal touch in your business. At a bare bone's minimum, send out two handwritten notes every single day.


10) Create a referral program for your prospects and customers – Incentivize people to give you referrals. Calculate how much a new customer or distributor is worth to you and give out cash bonuses to people who give you referrals.

--SHOULD YOU LEAD WITH THE PRODUCT OR THE BUSINESS?

You can lead with either the products or opportunity and be successful. I personally lead with VALUE, but I have successful team members that lead with the products.

At the end of the day, you need customers and distributors. If no one orders the products, no one makes any money.

What I would do is tailor my conversation to the NEEDS of the person I am talking to. Ask questions and figure out what their problem is, and then offer either the opportunity, or products as a solution to their problem.    

--A SIMPLE DAILY ROUTINE:


1) Contact five new prospects daily, using whatever method you feel most comfortable with.

2) Create one new piece of content. Such as a blog post, You tube video, or podcast, so you can develop a passive recruiting strategy.

3) Contact one team member, and one customer daily,

4) Follow up with one prospect daily.

5) Spend 10-15 minutes daily, on personal development.

--IMPORTANCE OF EVENTS:

For the past decade, I've been a loner. I really didn't go to any company events. I just enjoy being home on my computer.

I have recently rediscovered the importance of events. If your upline, or company has events, try really hard to never miss one. By attending, it helps build your belief in the company and products. It also teaches you knew skills and gets you around other movers and shakers within your company.

This is an event driven industry.
