*** Is MLM Really A Relationship Business? *** {409}

💙This question gets asked a lot, and I'm going to attempt to give you my opinion. Is MLM really a relationship business?

My answer is "YES" and "NO" because relationships are the glue that keeps your team together long term. People who like and trust you, are more apt to do business with you, versus someone who is not respected or liked.

With that being said, even if you have a great relationship with a team member, even if it's a friend or family member, doesn't mean that they will all stay. It's just part of the business that you need to accept. Truth be told, most of your team members will ultimately opt out and quit, and that's a fact! It's not your fault, so don't blame yourself. You can't help everyone. 

On the flip side, you will have people who kill it, and build a huge business, and really don't like you very well at all. Again, you can't please everyone, so don't let it bother you, because you can't do anything about it anyway.

You can be the best person in the world at building relationships, but be a horrible network marketer! Most people in this industry will tell you that building relationships are over rated, partly because of what I've already said. Sometimes you will spend hours trying to build a relationship, and there's a fair chance that even if that person does join your company, that they won't do anything to build their business anyway.

When building relationships in network marketing, it's probably best to try to build that relationship after they join you, and proves that they are serious about the business, otherwise it could be time wasted. For me personally, I do a lot of prospecting (1 on 1), anyway, so I like to build rapport from the get go, but I also have a little more time than most. 

For the average person that has a busy schedule, it's probably best to learn how to recruit and taproot. If you're working the numbers, they will will sort themselves out. Let people prove to you that they are coachable, and willing to put in the work, before you start building your relationship. 

There are many ways to build a successful business, and you will find that every leader in the industry will have a different opinion, so depending on your daily schedule, do what works best for you. This is just my opinion, and what works best for me!

*** 27 Tips To Grow Your MLM Business *** {407}

💛Here are 27 tips that can help you grow your MLM business, and possibly help you learn from some of the mistakes that I made when I first started back in 2006. They are in no particular order.

1) It's best to start out on the right foot, so you won't have to start over.

2) Do your due diligence, and pick a good company, and stick with it for at least a couple years. If it turns out to be a dud, make sure you find another company, and get it right this time.

3) Make sure to sponsor at least a couple new reps every month. (No excuses!)

4) People join people, and not businesses, so work on yourself, so you are someone worth joining. (personal development, and skills)

5) The winner is the person that makes the most exposures.

6) Remove yourself from the equation, and always use third party tools.

7) Act like you have a million dollars in your business, and only have a couple years to earn it back.

8) Set an example for your team, and inspire them by your actions. Be the type of person you want to sponsor.

9) Success = activity + skills + time.

10) People are the real product. We build people, who in turn builds the business.

11) Keep your business so simple that an 8 year old can do it. Anyone can complicate it.

12) Follow the lead of your successful mentor, and do what they suggest. (learn from their mistakes)

13) The average person needs 7-20 follow ups before making the decision to join. The fortune is always in the follow up.

14) Never use pressure or hype tactics. Your prospect is a prospect for life, until they buy, join, or die.

15) Work with the willing. They must be coachable, and hungry for success. You can't make anyone successful, they have to want it.

16) Once you sponsor someone, the best thing you can do for them, is to help them sponsor their first person. 

17) In order to build at least a six figure income, you only need two to five leaders within your company.

18) Normally your best people are the one's that show up in depth. Make sure to work through the people you sponsor. Even a dud can lead you to a stud.

19) There are only 2 activities in which you get paid, and those are, recruiting, and retailing. Everything else is considered busy work. Don't confuse busy work with income producing activities.

20) Promote events like your success depends on it. (which it does). Make sure to attend every event that you can.

21) Do something everyday to grow your business. Treat it at least a seriously as you do your job. Starting and stopping will kill your business, so be consistent, and persistent. 

22) Stay with one company for at least several years. Sponsor a few distributors, service a few customers, support your team, and use the products. Repeat the process over and over.

23) Your business is the easiest if you build it quickly, and the hardest when you build it slowly.

24) Don't promote multiple deals, or jump from company to company, because you will lose money, and momentum, along with credibility. Stay the course, and only switch companies if you have no other choice. (stick it out)

25) Do a 90 day challenge, it's the easiest way to build momentum. Momentum is hard to get and easy to lose. Double your momentum if you have to, and ride it as long as possible. This is an industry of momentum.

26) Depth is where the big money is at. When building your team, about 75% or more will come from level 5 and below. This will give you long term residual income. Always build depth. When sponsoring quickly, it will give you quick money.

27) Realize that no one cares about your business as much as you do. You don't need an upline to be successful, instead you need a downline. Take complete responsibility of your business, and don't blame your upline for not helping like you want them to.

*** FaceBook Prospecting Tips: (Cold Market) *** {406}

💗For this post, I would like to give you a few easy tips used for prospecting your "cold market" on Facebook. With over a billion Facebook users, you will definitely be able to find a few good prospects for your online (MLM) business. Before you do anything, you want to make sure that your Facebook profile page looks professional. You don't want anything about your business on your page. Make sure to have all of your info filled out, and it would look better if you have a nice profile picture. Also have a nice back ground setting. It can be something about your hobbies, or on my profile, I used a picture of an old gym I used. Whatever you enjoy, feel free to use. Again, you don't want anything about your business on your page. It makes you look desperate. It should be set up about you the person. 

{Step 1}:

👉 Facebook sends you people that they think would be a friend, usually based on similar location. Before sending a friend request, you can check out their profile page, in order to find out more about the person, and if you have anything in common. Another thing you can do, is in search bar at the top of the page, you can type in such things as (mlm, work from home, biz opps, etc..) This will show you thousands of like minded individuals. By looking at their profile page, you can pick and choose who you would like to contact. For example, if you see someone with a psychotic look from their profile pic, that's probably someone you would like to stay clear of. You don't have to to take a lot of time doing this, because this is only one method. You should actually find 2-3 things that you like, and focus on those. When I do this, I usually send out anywhere from 10-20 friend requests, and do it a few times a week, but you choose what works best for you.

{Step 2}:

👉 If they accept your friend request, send them a message. I always send them something like, Hey John, Thank you so much for accepting my request. Make sure you use the persons first name with your initial response, because it's a good ice breaker, and more personal. The next thing you want to do, is to ask a question. Earlier I told you to gather some info from their profile page. Feel free to write a few things down so you're prepared when you make your initial contact. Let's say they have pictures of dogs on their page, you can start off by sending a compliment about the dog/s, and ask them something about the dog/s. This will get the conversation off on the right foot, and go from there. The objective by doing this, Is that you're building rapport with that person. You're more apt to get your prospects to buy from you, when they like and trust you. 

{Step 3}:

👉 Remember, this is your "cold market" and will take a bit longer, because you're building a rapport with your new prospect. Everyone you talk to is obviously unique, and will respond differently, So take it slow, and don't ask for the sale right off the bat or you will likely scare them off. I really can't explain it, but you will know when the right time ask is, because it's all about feeling. You will understand what I mean if you decide to try this method. Let's say you're pressed for time, which most people are. Search, and send out just 5 requests per day. That's 35 weekly, 140 monthly, and 1,645 yearly, and that's contacting just 5 people daily. You should know by now, that this is a numbers game, and about 90% of your new friends won't be interested, and that's perfectly ok. 

If they tell you that they aren't interested, let them know that you're always available if they change their mind, and also make sure to ask them if they know anyone that may be interested, in making a little extra money from home, to please have them contact you. In most cases, they won't, but you just never know if one person comes through for you, and that one person turns out to the next leader within your company, that's a big deal. These steps I've just laid out for you, are things that I do, and have worked for me. Give it a try, and see what you think. I would enjoy some feedback good or bad. Just because your prospect tells you "NO" now, doesn't mean they won't join you at a later date, and could be one of your best leaders.

When you hear yourself say anything negative about yourself or what you are trying to accomplish you are going to need to put a stop to it and counteract the negativity with something positive.

When you hear this kind of self-abuse you need to stop right in the middle of your verbal self-abuse and pretend that you are talking to a good friend who had just made the same mistake.

What would you say to your friend?

You'd probably say something more like this:

“Hey, you did the best you could. Now it is time to pick your-self up and try again.”

“Hey at least you tried and gave it a great effort. There is no shame in failing... only in failing to try.”

*** Building Depth In Your MLM Company And Taprooting *** {401}

💥These tips are about building depth with your network marketing company, and helping you earn a huge income. Not in any particular order.

1) In order to achieve the big money, you have to build depth with your business, and not width.

2) If you want stability and a predictable income, you want your depth to be hundreds of levels deep.

3) As a sponsor, your job is to help everyone on your team recruit at least 1 person, and repeat the process. Everyone is responsible for their own business, you're just there to help them get started and be there if they have any questions.

4) It's easier to sponsor in depth rather than personally recruit. (I do a lot of recruiting). Don't keep so busy with your team that it interferes with you being able to do some recruiting yourself.

5) Make sure to help everyone on your team. Treat them all as if they were personally sponsored by you. If they are coachable, willing, and hungry for success, regardless where they are within the downline, work with those individuals.

6) Always work with the newest reps at the deepest level of your organization.

7) A solid foundation has depth over width. It's best if you can build at least a couple of legs a couple hundred front line reps deep.

8) Once you sponsor at least five serious reps, spend the bulk of your time helping the people in their teams. Help them with personal recruiting until they achieve the same five serious reps.

9) If you've built your depth at least eight levels, you're automatically helping everyone from the seventh level and above. It's obvious the deeper you go, the more people you're going to be helping.

10) Treat everyone on your team well by building a good rapport. By doing so, If and when someone's sponsor quit, they have already built a good friendship with you.

11) A solid leg has at least five leaders in it. The more leaders you have, the more secure the leg. Ideally, you would want leaders, backed by leader, backed by leaders, and so on.

12) The odds of you sponsoring your best people are less than one percent, of one percent. Your best leaders always show up in depth.

13) Your new team members won't help their new reps the same way you would, so make sure you take ownership of your business, and help work with them.

14) Never let a month go by where you don't help each leg build deeper. Try to build them deeper and never stop building.

15) Having a huge front line with no depth, is a quick way to go broke. The only way to have a walk away income is to build leaders in depth.

16) It's not who you know or sponsor that matters, it's who they know and sponsor, and who they know and sponsor. Work through everyone you sponsor, and sooner or later you will find that rock star. This is absolutely a numbers game. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
