In this post, I'm showing you the business plan I created back in 2009, because I was working on opening my own 24 hour fitness center called Club 24. All the info/data that found was back in 2009. Also the source attributes these findings as a result of rising health care costs and the attraction of class participation.
{Overview}:
Club 24 is a new state of the art fitness facility which will attract new customers by providing superior customer service through education and fitness development.
{Problem}:
Several people within our target market have the following concerns and needs that are not being presently met.
1) Fitness enthusiasts are not obtaining desirable results in areas such as body mass gains, Increase in energy levels, and reduction of body fat.
2) Existing facilities are overcrowded.
3) Due to economic and financial conditions, Many simply cannot afford to join a health club.
{Solution}:
1) Through education and fitness development, Club 24 will implement a structured system that will combine high quality strength and cardiovascular programs that will provide for continuous monitoring of customers performance levels. Also by using a structured system, maintaining long term client relations will be accomplished keeping a client for one year or more is considered a long term relationship in the fitness industry.
2) With fitness centers being full or at near capacity, many are unable to use their facility at desired times and cannot spend quality time needed. With the establishment of a 24 hour facility in the North end, we will alleviate these problems.
3) Establishing partnerships with companies such as Health Partners, Health Ways, Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Silver Sneakers, many clients will be reimbursed for their membership fees.
{Offer Summary}:
=> Pre Money Valuations - $100,000
=> Funding Amount - $100,000

=> Year 5 - $721,070
{Exit Strategy}:
Club 24 will position itself for acquisition within 5 years, Similar companies in our industry have been acquired at valuations in excess of 3 x the revenue.
{Local Market}:
Similarly the local market in Vigo County, Indiana is also seeing an increase in the growth rate of physical fitness. Anytime fitness owned by the Atterson family, has stated that since being opened in Jan. 2009, Memberships have grown to over 700 members (6 months time), giving them the need to build a second facility.
The Pilates Studio (Ultimate Fitness), Owned by the Hernandez family, is experiencing similar results, as memberships have also outgrown their facility, giving them the opportunity of building a larger fitness center.
{Target Market}:
* 55 and older age group - As previously mentioned, this target audience has shown the highest participation increase in the fitness industry. We will penetrate this audience with high expectations by offering programs, through class participation, along with providing them with programs that will reimburse their membership fees.
{Buddy System}:
* Our buddy system will allow for multiple membership options to choose from, and by offering other services such as, Free Daycare, Free Tanning and On-Site Laundry. We will be able to penetrate any household.
After speaking to several customers of other facilities, we have learned that the two primary concerns exist:
1) Personal Trainers lack in knowledge and continuous guidance.
2) Fitness Equipment does not reflect today's standards, or that equipment Is getting old, and is not being replaced.
{Competitors}: Strictly from the town in which I live
* Anytime Fitness - Is currently the most recognized facility in our area, offering high quality fitness equipment, with some degree of personal training. Club 24 will establish itself as having the same quality reputation, yet further distinguish itself by offering three key factors.
